On Friday 16th October 35 vans arrived at Gibson Primary School Mountfield Road Omagh which I must say was a very impressive school and located close to Omagh town centre.

After parking and all the usual motorhome routines the majority joined for a harmonious evening of Play Your Cards Right. Audrey and Sheila distributed the tickets and assisted byEmily who drew out the number for each participant. Andy was turning the cards ably assisted by our Chairman Sam who was able to hold the microphone with his one available hand after his aerobatics with a ladder. Audience participation provided excellent advice to each participant, higher higher lower lower change the card and of course “ You get nothing for a pair”. Andy was exhausted, as the cards had a mind of their own, but finally after much joviality by everyone there were two winners Tom and Selma.

Saturday morning saw an impromptu line dance class. Saturday was a free day to explore Omagh and an event at Gortin town. After tea we were entertained by a new comer to our repertoire of entertainers by Alastair Spence. We danced the night away, with the usual draw, interlude and eventually retired after an excellent weekend with plenty of sun and the first frost of the year.

On Sunday morning our chairman thanked the hosts for an excellent weekend and everyone for the significant support given to the Chairmans Charity. Sam outlined the next event at Londonderry/Derry. The number plate draw was won by Jacqueline and Brian and loyalty vouchers worth over £100 were presented to Ruth, Brian Maud Irene and Joy. The Chairman wished everyone a safe journey and looked forward to our next merry rally. Ken Little
