The Northern Ireland Group had a meeting at the Moynalty Steam Threshing 50th Anniversary in County Meath in the Irish Republic. The meet was for 5 days from the 6th until the 11th August. There was a total of 22 motorhomes some went for the full 5 days whilst others choose to go for 2 or 3 days. The Wednesday and Thursday were spent walking around the site, visiting the village and the local bar. On Friday night everyone brought out their chairs and we all sat around Norman and Sally’s motorhome having a good old laugh and chinwag. On Saturday the Bar Marquee opened with live music where most of the members enjoyed a few drinks and a dance. Some of the stalls and displays opened. Sunday was the main day when everything was in full swing. There were Steam traction engines of all shapes and sizes, at least 300 vintage cars and motorbikes, vintage trucks, vintage and modern tractors, live horse shoeing, Clydesdale horses, market stalls, live music on 2 band stands from 11am until 7pm plus much more. What a fantastic few days and well worth the visit. Well done to those who recommended the Moynalty Steam Threshing event for an informal meeting.
