16th - 19th July 2026       Lady of the Lakes Festival, Irvinestown, Co. Fermanagh. A sun bathed Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh was the focal point for the annual 'Lady of the Lakes Festival'.  A full itinerary of events was on offer a few minutes' walk from our site at the Creamery Business Park.Thursday16th.   We were welcomed by hosts Marie & Peter Johnston assisted by Diane & Tommy Waide.  For us the events started at Mahon's Hotel with a tea dance, this was followed by a fancy dress parade and street music.  As it was such a beautiful evening people gathered around until late in the evening enjoying each other's company.Friday 17th.   Seen the opening Festival Parade of Vintage Vehicles and the unveiling of 'The Lady of the Lake 2026'.  The village was a hive of activity and in the evening The Festival of Lights took place with a procession of modern trucks, pimped up with horns and lights.  A fantastic sight to see and hear..  This was balanced with the ancient tradition of Community Mummers with their hand held lanterns.Saturday 18th.   Seen the arrival of the trucks at the family fun area where they where to be judged.  A hole digging contest took place which drew a large local crowd.  The winner dug a hole to the depth of over 5 foot.  In the evening a party of 20 enjoyed dinner together at Mahon's Hotel, most sampling the traditional Liver and Bacon.
