Motorhomes were warmly welcomed & parked up by our hosts Jane & Harry & Tommy &Diane.Thankfully it was a lovely warm evening (as we had restricted time usage of the hall) it meant we were all able to meet up at the hosts van for friendship & music - giving a nod to the nation’s favourite Dolly Parton.
Saturday the hosts were back on duty kindly providing much appreciated lifts to the train station or town with its impressive castle. Early evening we were all welcomed in the hall to sample Diane’s delicious homemade Chilli con carne both hot & spicy & milder for the less adventurous with wheaten bread & Doritos.Peter organised a game of bean bag boules into which everyone got really invested & it was hotly contested until Tony claimed victory- after that it really was the Tony & Mary show as on Sunday morning at coffee they received a belated motorhome voucher won at a previous rally and they also won the bonus draw for another voucher as well.
The club are delighted to welcome back past members The Brown Family who attended the rally. The chairman’s charity also received a boost as £87 was donated by Alex from a Tropic draw lucky winners being Jane, Joyceln & Elaine. Another donation of £21 was raised from the sale of cooking apples from Ruth - apple tarts pending.
Pamela Douglas would like to thank all members who attended Jim’s funeral and sent words of Condolence in Cards to her and the family. Arlene Campbell
