In 2025 our members raised and donated £1,500 to Prostrate cancer, an excellent sum, although if we had also completed “gift aid” forms, the charity could have claimed an additional 25 pence for every pound raised that would have meant an additional £350 !
With this in mind, in 2026 a “gift aid” envelope will be included in the annual yearbook that will be arriving at the beginning of December, in order that every member that raises/donates money for the charity can enable the charity to collect an additional 25% from the government. These envelopes/forms should be returned to the treasurer or any committee member by the 20th September, in order that at the next annual general meeting, the club’s donation will be presented to the charity representative.
