Following our AGM on Saturday 3rd October David a representative from the Children’s Hospice arrived at the hall to accept our cheque donation for the massive amount of £1,500, which was supplemented with gift aid forms for the same amount, meaning that the charity could claim an additional 25% from the Inland Revenue. All members who contributed deserve a massive thanks for making this possible. It was announced that the incoming year our group annual charity will be Mental Health and as in the ethos of the group, we will ensure that our contribution will be used within Northern Ireland.
Our esteemed Honorary President Anne Grant and our Treasurer Jane Aston, have both resigned their respective positions for personal reasons. The Group wish them both well and extend our thanks and gratitude for their commitment to the well running of our Group. We warmly welcome the election of Ruth Ross as the incoming Honorary President and Selma McMullan (Ass; Treasurer) will continue as Treasurer in the short term, until a replacement Treasurer is in place.
