St Patrick's weekend in Jordanstown

 On arrival at the venue, we were warmly welcomed by hosts, Harry & Jane & Tommy & Diane we were very quickly parked and had lunch.  We arrived Saturday lunch time, so unable to attend on Friday, it seems Friday night was indeed great craic sorry to have missed it.   Saturday afternoon was the serious business of 6 nations rugby tournament in particular Ireland v England with a great win by Ireland this was watched on the big screen in school hall by a number of members.  27 members ended up in the Portside to enjoy a meal and the rugby. 

  For others Retail therapy in nearby Abbey Centre with shops to suit all was very much enjoyed. Music later on Saturday night was by Rob Rooster who went down a storm, dance floor was busy all night. 

  Coffee morning and many thanks to our hosts for a job well done. 37 vans were in attendance, congrats to Alison Masters on her new van.   Happy birthdays to Phillip Cardwell, David Davidson, Jenny Dowie and Eleanor McFadden all were 21 again! Quiz winner Violet Patrick, No. Plate draw winner was Sue Corry. 

  Chairman David brought rally to a close, thanking hosts and all who attended. A brilliant weekend. Hope to see you all soon. 

  Anne & Robert Grant Footnote by Florence and Joe McClune On Friday evening having been safely parked up, we were welcomed into the hall by two lovely Irish Colleens and two Leprechauns all beautifully attired, a cocktail was offered and a game called What’s in the bag , a new one for me was thoroughly enjoyed. The hosts had 2 prizes for the winners. Afterwards we all chatted and caught up with each other.

   Everyone had a lovely evening and the hosts ensured we all had a great time, a great night with great hosts, thank you.
