RALLY REPORT BEECHLAWN SCHOOL HILLSBOROUGH SEPTEMBER 2022

Unfortunately the Royal Hillsborough oyster festival was cancelled but our party went on !

On Friday eve new hosts Roy & Jenny Dowie were ably shown the ropes by Elmer & Selma McMullan and were soon into the swing booking in & parking up 28 vans with ease. 

Later on the bingo was well supported which reflected on the generous prize money.

Saturday dawned very wet but most people managed to get out for a while either to near by Sprucefield shopping centre or into Hillsborough itself with its beautiful castle & gardens and a very interesting WW1 mini museum where local volunteers had plenty of knowledge to impart . 

Saturday evening entertainment had a delicious supper kindly provided by some of the ladies and it was greatly appreciated This was followed by music from Gary to work the extra lbs back off .The floor was as full as our tummies !

During Sunday coffee morning the chairman brought us up to date with club news We welcomed new members Brian & Karen Hannigan & gave birthday wishes to Joy Coulter on her special birthday.
