Portadown Meet was hosted by the very capable Beverley and Robert Coulter and their co-hosts Helen and Richard Ellis, thank you. The weather suited the venue, dry and sunny, A few of our members went to Mullahead Ploughing Match, whilst a few others men and women watched the Ireland Ruby match with a few beers/Guinness to celebrate Irelands’ win. Shoppers hit the town and others enjoyed a walk around the park and lake which is close by. Sunday Coffee morning, we had wee buns, thank you.

Eleanor and Victor Footnote from Joe Little who attended: The Mullahead Ploughing Match, which had not been held since 2019, due to adverse weather and COVID 19, was held in perfect conditions on Saturday. As there was no tractor pulling competition or trade stands this year it did not attract the same level of interest from our members as in previous years. Those members who did attend really enjoyed the spectacle, especially the teams of horses and the vintage tractors.
(There are lots of photographs on the Mullahead Ploughing Match FB page)
