Arrived in Hillsborough to a very warm welcome from the hosts. Ivan parked us up & we enjoyed lovely dinner in Hillside bar down town. Returned to hall for Pimms reception by hosts, bingo, music & song. Alex with assistance from Alison called the bingo numbers very clearly & wittingly with many lucky prize winners.
Overseas visitors from Sussex Alan & Mary along with William from MCCNI played music, sang and had everyone up dancing all night. Ivan then continued the music into the small hours.
Many early risers Saturday morning went for beautiful walk around the lake in Hillsborough before the heatwave. Plenty of sunshine all day and members enjoyed visiting the local shops, some barbecued and more enjoyed the wonderful Tropic pamper afternoon session hosted by Alex with Prosecco provided by Alison and the impromptu music afternoon session in the hall. Back to the hall for 9pm music and dancing with Dalbro Dan. Plenty of lucky prize winners in the raffle and lucky square draw for Tropic products generously donated by Alex.
Sunny Sunday coffee morning & entry draw for the 43 Motorhomers in attendance. Newcomers & overseas visitors welcomed by hosts & Honorary President Selma. Winners of entry draw were Brian Warnock & Mrs Bloomfield from England. Winner of quiz was Sharon Scott. First time hosts did a wonderful job running rally & encouraged others to do likewise going forward as it is very rewarding. Terrific weekend, great time had by all. Happy campers reluctantly set off home. Mary Collier
