Message No 7 from our Chairman - 19 April 2021


Dear Members 

Temporary Campsites 

Caravan parks are to be allowed to open for fully self-contained caravans and motorhomes from 30 April. This means that our Group is also allowed to organise and run Temporary Campsites. In practical terms these are rallies without any social activities. 

The first one will be a 2-night event at Foyle College (see your Handbook for address) from Friday 30th April until Sunday 2nd May. 

Pre-Booking Only 

To comply with Club instructions this event will be bookable in advance. To book contact Gary our Treasurer, between the hours of 6 and 10pm giving Name, Membership Number and Motorhome registration number. Telephone 07394 964503. On arrival at the venue, you will be handed an information sheet which you should read fully as soon as you are parked up. 

Payment 

  • Payment will be taken at the Stewards motorhome between 11.30am and 1.00pm on the Saturday morning.
  • Any member who only wishes to stay on the Friday night should make payment between the above hours and then leave the venue.
  • Any member who wishes to stay on Saturday night only should arrive and pay between the above hours.
  • Payment should be by contactless card if possible, but cash will be taken in exceptional circumstances.
  • Vouchers will be accepted.

Stewards will manage the event for the benefit of our members, but I would ask you to remember that they too deserve some free time to enjoy the weekend. 

It is essential that everyone follows the current Covid-19 Regulations and Guidance on the wearing of face coverings and social distancing.

I look forward to welcoming members to our first meeting since March 2020 but in the meantime stay alert and stay safe.
