Dear Members I would like to introduce myself. My name is David Kyle-Ewing. In my absence, which was unavoidable, you elected me Chairman at the AGM on Saturday 1st October 2022. Thank you for your trust. I will do my best to follow in the footsteps of previous Chairs who did a fantastic job in growing our club to where it is today. I would like to welcome all the members of the committee who will help me continue the success gained so far.

At the Members meeting, following the AGM, two points were raised by members.

  1. Robert McEwan asked why his raffle vouchers could not be used at all rallies as they had a monetary value and therefore could be deducted from total charge for a rally.

A vote was taken by committee and unanimously carried in favour of accepting all vouchers issued as prizes at all rallies.

  1. Joe Little had asked in the absence of myself at the AGM if I would consider calling a members meeting.

On speaking to Joe, we discussed a few points. He gave some guidance which I am extremely thankful for. I have agreed with Joe to have a member’s meeting at our St Patricks rally in March 2023.

In conclusion I would like to say I am looking forward to a successful New Year’s rally programme thanks to the good work from our Rally Officer Roy Dowie and your Committee. Time is already flying past. A lot of work has been put into the rally programme and our handbook. Which should be with you all shortly. I will look forward to meeting up with you all for another fun filled year. Thank you all for your support. If you have any comments or particular issues, please let me or your committee know.

My chosen charity this year is The Northern Ireland Diabetic Association.
